NO NUCLEAR TESTS!
Secretary General's Message for 2023
Courtesy, United Nations
Since 1945, more than 2,000 nuclear tests have inflicted terrifying suffering on people, poisoned the air we breathe, and ravaged landscapes around the world.
On the International Day Against Nuclear Tests, the world speaks with one voice to end this destructive legacy.
This year, we face an alarming rise in global mistrust and division. At a time in which nearly 13,000 nuclear weapons are stockpiled around the world — and countries are working to improve their accuracy, reach and destructive power — this is a recipe for annihilation.
A legally binding prohibition on nuclear tests is a fundamental step in our quest for a world free of nuclear weapons. The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, though not yet in force, remains a powerful testament to humanity’s will to lift the shadow of nuclear annihilation from our world, once and for all.
In the name of all victims of nuclear testing, I call on all countries that have not yet ratified the Treaty to do so immediately, without conditions.
Let’s end nuclear testing forever.

The city of Jacksonville, Florida, is reeling from
the "racist killing" of three Black citizens
at a store in a historically Black
neighborhood with weapons
emblazoned with
[Nazi] swastikas.
Is this a "Crime Against Humanity?"
YES! A heinous, hate-filled crime indeed!
Deepest Condolences for "Loved Ones"
lost when each precious, "life-filled
Soul" should be vibrantly
flourishing!
Now, instead of the vibrancy of life, deep
mourning and heartfelt grief because
of 'racial, hate-filled'
More than 60 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
embarked upon his historic, arduous and
non-violent journey known as the
"Civil Rights Movement"
to abolish legalized
racial segregation,
discrimination, and
disenfranchisement - all
wrongful injustices "institutionally"
upheld against the "post-Slavery"
people of African descent.
As "The March on Washington" for
"jobs, freedom and equal rights"
celebrates its 60th Anniversary,
all Citizens should be reminded
that the famous "March" is
yet a work in progress as
THE SPECTRE OF RACIAL HATRED AND
INSTITUTIONALIZED INJUSTICES
CONTINUE TO TAKE CENTER
STAGE THROUGHOUT THE
GREATEST NATION ON EARTH.
May the "True Citizenry of The People We" who "dare to care"
boldly cross every color line and man-made barrier which
divide as "The March Continues" upon that "path of
peaceful non-violence" that Dr. King
demonstrated to the Whole World!
Never forget that . . . "The True Citizenry of We the People"
is in reality "The True Citizenry of Humanity!"

Global crises, conflicts, and the climate emergency are escalating trafficking risks. Displacement and
socio-economic inequalities are impacting

vulnerable to exploitation by traffickers.
Those who lack legal status, live in poverty, have limited access to education, healthcare, or decent work, face discrimination, violence, or abuse, or come from marginalized communities are often the

The security situation in Haiti “is appalling,” said UN Secretary-General António Guterres, recalling his recent visit to the fragile nation. He called for swift action at a time when the humanitarian needs are “soaring”. And although “there is not yet the political solution in sight”, the UN chief expressed hope and optimism.
“It is impossible to look at the crisis without seeing the long shadow of centuries of colonial exploitation, extortion, dictatorship, and other screaming injustices,” he said. “We must help ease the suffering of the Haitian people.”
Commending the critical efforts of CARICOM leaders in addressing the situation in Haiti, Mr. Guterres called for increased support from the international community.
He stressed that lasting security requires strengthened democratic institutions, emphasizing the need for drastic improvement in the security situation.
In this vein, he reiterated his call to the Security Council to authorize a "robust international security force" to help Haiti's National Police in combating and dismantling gangs wreaking havoc across the country.
